Streets

The in-between moments

Streets don't wait for good light. These are the in-between moments — a parade turning a corner, a jeep kicking up dust, a city deciding whether it's day or night yet. I just happened to be standing there with a camera.

Dust settles eventually. The good shots happen before it does.
Color first, questions later.
The city's real heartbeat runs on three wheels.
Every pair handmade, every color a choice.
Hung out to dry, accidentally arranged like a painting.
A shop after hours, lit only by what it's selling.
Some cars aren't parked. They're resting.
Boston gave me a puddle and a dancer in red. I didn't need anything else.
Snow, smoke, and a whole street holding its breath.
Banners up before the drums even started.
Up close, the lion has eyes that follow you.
Lunar New Year in Boston — the streets came alive and I forgot I was holding a camera.
